About Melissa Prowse
Melissa hails from Gravesend and works in the emergency services – so when she says she’s composed under pressure, you believe her.
She came to hockey through a colleague whose wife played, earned herself a trial, and never looked back. Nine years on, she’s one of the most experienced defenders in the squad.
Ice Hockey Career
She’s always played defence – it’s simply where she belongs.
With Ovechkin and Tom Wilson as her hockey idols, Melissa brings that same hard-nosed, physical edge to her game.
Invicta Dynamics was the obvious choice: the only team in Kent, and the perfect fit.
What she loves most about the team is the way everyone pushes each other to improve while still having fun.
Career Highlights
Her most memorable moment on the ice is a wrap-around goal that still makes her grin.
Life Away From Ice Hockey
Away from hockey, Melissa’s life revolves around her dogs.
A fun fact: she used to figure skate as a kid.
If it wasn’t hockey, she’d be playing football, a sport she grew up loving.
Her emergency services background reinforces her calmness under pressure.
