About Lilley May
Lilley is a Gillingham local through and through, and hockey is genuinely in her blood. Her dad plays, and her mum played for Invicta Dynamics — so joining the club when she was old enough was never really in question. Five years on, having also come up through the juniors programme, she’s firmly established herself as part of the Dynamics family.
Ice Hockey Career
Lilley chose forward for a very practical reason: she didn’t want to skate backwards, and goalie equipment is too expensive. Respectable logic. Currently in college, she’s developed into a reliable presence up front with a knack for finding the net.
Career Highlights
Her most memorable moment on the ice? Her first goal. Some things don’t need elaborating.
Life Away From Ice Hockey
Away from the rink, Lilley embroiders clothes and keeps turtles as pets — a combination that makes her genuinely one of a kind. If she wasn’t playing hockey she’d be playing chess, because at least it’s cheaper. Her teammates would describe her as responsible, funny, and friendly. And what does she love most about playing at home? She can have a nap beforehand and still leave on time.
