About Abbie Grey
Abbie grew up in London and came to hockey the way many do – by watching others play and thinking, I want a piece of that. After catching senior teams in action, she laced up her skates and never looked back.
Nearly four years later, she’s built up an impressive hockey résumé, having played for Chelmsford Pythons, London Capitals, Invicta Juniors, and Streatham Storm before finding her home with Invicta Dynamics.
Ice Hockey Career
Her position wasn’t exactly a choice – it was a calling. Her old coach put her in defence during her first U16 girls game, and she loved it from the moment she stepped into that role.
With Jamie Endrizzi Faulks as her on-ice inspiration, Abbie joined Invicta with clear goals: to reconnect with old teammates and win the league. What she values most about the team is the tight-knit, family feel that runs through everything they do.
Career Highlights
Her standout hockey memory? Overtime at the 2023 Nationals – a moment that sums up exactly why she plays.
Life Away From Ice Hockey
Off the ice, Abbie bartends, works on her A Levels, and can be found heading out for sunset walks. What most people don’t know is that she has a background in MMA and Thai boxing – and if hockey wasn’t her sport, she’d be heading straight back to the ring.
Her teammates would probably describe her as feisty, funny, and loving. Probably.
